You are not just looking for any random cultural or social institution?
Then it’s time to join NAHOSTCAST e.V.!

Forthcoming of the association

The association was founded by 6 students with a shared interest in topics regarding history, politics and society of Westasia and North Africa (WANA) in the spring of 2020. As podcaster, we have found a powerful medium to batter existing stereotypes in daily media and reporting about the WANA-region. But why is it then necessary for us to form an association on top of that?

The association’s goals

NAHOSTCAST e.V. offers us as well as our listeners a societal platform to enter in contact with people – since we do not aspire to talk ‚about the Middle East‘, but rather aim to draw people from this region into a mutual dialogue.

For this end, we initiate projects, workshops and incorporate ideas with the focus on the regions Westasia and North Africa. They pursue to question ‚oriental‘ stereotypes and the image of a region constantly shaken by crisis and upheaval, anti-racist awareness and to bring forward a more diverse, tolerant and feminist society.

Should we have instilled in you an interest in our work, you are very much welcome to join NAHOSTCAST e.V. as a member or to support us by means of a sponsoring membership!
